That is a very good question and I am not sure. That is a tremendous improvement in credit score, but likely is not Prosper's fault since the grade comes off the credit score. However, it does not seem right that someone's grade changes that much that quickly. Did you see the post on advice for new lenders?

I'm a new lender so I'm looking at as many borrower details as possible to try to figure out the signs of a good borrower, and I've seen borrowers such as Jimmber who have radically different data from one loan request to another in a short time. In Jimmber's case he went from an E rating to a C in one month. Is it Prosper or Equifax but how is this possible?

[...] I promised, I have extended some loans with Prosper (although I am not quite up to $500 yet). Since everyone can see Prosper loans and which ones I bid on — see my loans at Lending Stats — I decided to have some fun [...]

That is good advice. I used the advanced search criteria and greatly limited down the number of loans to view based upon the financial data. Then I read the description to ensure that they have their head on straight before making a bid.

By the way, despite my belief that borrowing to lend is a bad idea, there were a few people who looked like they could pay of their loans for that purpose regardless of whether they made bad loan decisions. So I decided to bid on a few blenders.

As my brother has often said on Prosper Lending Review - a loan description will not convince me to bid on a loan that I wouldn't otherwise bid on based on the financial data, but it might convince me not to bid.
